Sacred Heart School - Camden
Sacred Heart School - Camden
One of the most exciting parts of the Summer Program at Sacred Heart is our Explore Group. These students were selected from our middle school and invited to come this summer and participate in STEM based experiences.

Here are a couple of the highlights of the Explore program this year. The students went out to the New Jersey Pine Barrens to canoe, hike, and learn all about the ecology of the area. They also had an awesome opportunity to tour the Water Treatment Facility in Camden and learn all about the process of water cycles. As you can see, the students were really into it!

Today, as we continue to highlight our Summer Program here at Sacred Heart, we wanted to show some of the fun celebrating that the students get to do. We celebrated it being summer time by having a water day complete with some water ice and popsicles. We also celebrated Christmas in July by decorating the rooms with Christmas decorations, making Christmas crafts and snacks, singing songs, and celebrating Jesus!

Some may think that summer time is a time of rest for schools, but here at Sacred Heart School we have been staying busy with our exciting Summer Program! Our Summer Program has been going for three weeks, and today we are headed into it's fourth and final week. This week, to celebrate another successful season, we wanted to show you some of the fun things our Summer Program kids have been up to.

Today we start with highlighting some of the fun crafts they got to do. One of the days the kids received new backpacks that they then got to customize themselves with paint and other craft materials (which they are excited to wear back to school in September). Another day they got to create and play with slime (which is always a good time).

We are also staying busy in the school office by getting ready for our 100th school year! If you want to be part of it with us we are currently enrolling 1st-8th grade students and also seeking people willing to sponsor our students. To apply and also to find more information about sponsorship go to our website at "".

Stay tuned this week for more Summer Program fun!
